First go to Nice guy, as he acts as a healer and support to shadow kanji and tough guy but is totally weak to Bufu, Jack frost is the best persona to this part
After Nice guy time to erase Tough guy, in this case, this one is weak against Fire, Yukiko can destroy it and you can use Eligor, since he has Agi atacks and is a good Persona to resist physical attacks
Now is the turn of Kanji, he have some problematics atacks, If he hit Yosuke with Zio he will use Charge right after so equip an accesorie that help yosuke to evade and Use the skill that give evasion (forget the name but yosuke have it at the start of the game)
Kanji will use 2 differents atacks, one only affect males char and will give you posion status, you can use a persona with resist poison with MC to evade it, the other one will give you the rage status in woman, in this case you can convert Chie in a glass cannon using Tarukaja and Dekunda, rage status give a lot of attack but you defend will be horrible.
Just with this and having yukiko healing and supporting and using Agilao when its possible wont give you much problem
If you took your time and did some grinding you should have found at least one diamond shield and magic mirror. Save those for around the time you take out Nice Guy and it'll save you some trouble cleaning up Tough Guy.
If you're high enough level you can usually safely ignore the poison status and not waste a valuable turn clearing it, but if you get into trouble try keeping Yukiko rage free so she can manage items, as she does the lowest physical damage so you won't be missing a ton if you play her passively.
Also, Kanji himself isn't weak to anything, so if you're not Dizzying Nice Guy and Tough Guy then it might be more worth your time to just wail on them with physical attacks because elemental attacks might not be doing the kind of damage you can put out with buffs.
I've probably only scratched the surface of this game...
The real test is the optional boss that spawns from treasure chests. Trust me, you do NOT want to open that chest until you have a high level party and a looooooooooot of revival beads
For starters, fuse 2 personas that resist or null electric attacks and Physical attacks, one for each. That early on in the game there really isn't a persona that does both at least to my knowledge but if you find one then fuse that instead.
After that make sure your well stocked on revival items cause while you now might be safe from Kanji's attacks your party members are not (Especially Yosuke) so they will be dying a LOT. Make sure you have media on Yukiko and an extra Media persona just in case she dies.
With that prep in mind, the fight itself is pretty straight forward. DON'T ATTACK Shadow Kanji until you beat his boyfriends first. The reason for this is cause once Kanji takes a certain amount of damage he starts doing bigger stronger attacks the lower his HP goes. I recommend taking out the one on the right first cause his Phys attacks are brutal. He's weak to fire so just spam with Yukiko and he should go down pretty quickly. After that take down the other guy, he's weak to Ice so again spam Chie on him and he will go down.
Now that both of his minions are out of the picture BEFORE you start attacking Kanji make sure you wait until any buffs he has are gone and his Accuracy is lowered. His attacks can't hurt you if they never hit to begin with. Also raise the MC's evasion if you can. Now is the time to go all out. He has main 4 moves that he cycles through and he changes the order of them as he goes down in health. I forget what they are called but I'll just list there effects below
Move 1: Causes poison status to MC and Yosuke, Never hits Chie or Yukiko
Move 2: Causes enraged status to Chie and Yukiko, Never hits MC or Yosuke
Move 3: Electric Attack on entire party
Move 4: Some kind of physical attack on either one or the entire party one or the other
I don't remember what the exact order was but I do think he uses Move 1 or 2 and then 3 and 4 right after that so make sure you guard with Yosuke and MC so they doesn't get knocked down or else Kanji will power up his next attack. As for the status effects, they only last for 2 turns so you hardly need to worry about them. Try to heal enrage if you can but don't worry about Poison cause the damage it does can be easily healed, just make sure not to use any physical attacks while like that or your HP will quickly go down.
As for the rest its simple rinse and repeat. Just keep reapplying his accuracy debuff whenever it runs out. Guard and heal if you ever feel threatened and hit him as hard as you can. Might take you while but you will get the job done if you just keep at it
So basicly, buff Atk if possible, knock one of the Guys down (Nice, Tough) then wreck face with Phys skills (Twin Shot is nice at that point).
Kanji himself isn’t too bad.
