Side note, Agne is WORSE than blade of fury because it hit less often, and hit less per use and cost more. ( blade of fury have a power of 30, while agne is 30.98; fury have 90 hit, agne have 75; fury is more reliable with a variation of x2 to x4 dmg based on number of hit while agne vary from x1 to x3 ...)
So yeah for physical skill, since they get different hit chance, hit number and crit chance, it's not always good to upgrade.
Joe, no, that's not possible. The game check what card can be upgraded, pick one of them and upgrade it.
It only do nothing if none of your skill can be upgraded.
Lot of skill don't upgrade much though, and some upgrade into the same skill (single target physical skill do it for some of them).
It basically go this way ; SIngle target spell => multi hit => never upgrade. Mabufu do NOT upgrade into bufula for example.
all mighty spell => next version (beside the last tier single/aoe that never change, but aren't that better anyway; only +2% dmg for a heavy cost)
Single physical skill are setup into pierce, blunt, blade. Persona 4 use the same "physical" type of dmg for all but in some other game it was different, so they ended up having multiple "chain" of skill.
same for the aoe type.
Resist => nul => nothing
abs, reflect => nothing
rank 1/2/3 in order for the hp/regen chain of skill, then nothing
I'm pretty sure it can upgrade from a lower tier AOE to a higher tier single target. I seem to remember that happening a day or two ago for me when I was playing.
Although there's a possiblity my memory might be playing tricks on me because Persona 5 had a similar mechanic where that was 100% possible. And I played P5R fairly recently.
Yup it's from p5. p4 doesn't do this, I can assure you. I overleveled in my game (lv80 by the time I finished the game dungeon) so it would always say "cannot find a skill" when I grab the card while all my skill where aoe of medium power (for the four element).
Gotcha, that's good to know. Makes it slightly more balanced than Fusion Alarms. Just slightly.
Had it right after Kanji dungeon and was able to put it on all my main Personas I've been using.
You know that you'll be replacing all those personas soon anyway? That's why Growth is pretty useless. You will be switching your roster every dungeon, at least there is no reason not to do it at least to some extent. Most of your persona levels will come from Slink bonus exp when you fuse the persona and then from level up cards.
So, are you just going to ignore the whole point about you switching out your personas for better ones that are already higher level? What grind are you exactly skipping there? I don't understand.
Basically don't need to worry about her anymore! Already used her to make Undine with Megidolaon. Also Agilao, Bufula, Garula, Zionga and Null Physical. No real reason to use anyone else unless I need Hama/Mudo, in which case I switch to Hua Po with Mahama + Hama Boost, and Mamudo + Mudo Boost.
She'll be my next project. Skill Up them Hama/Mudo skills and I can rest easy.
