To put as few spoilers as possible, if you are on path to the True/Golden Ending, a dungeon will open on December 8th. If you want as much time as possible to spend with Social Links and still have the Christmas Date, you want to hold off on completing it until December 22nd.
As for the dungeon I'm not entirely sure, I think I'm coming up on the end of the base game, but the huge skip probably happens around then, or for the Golden content dungeon.
Thank you! Glad I held off then, I should definitely be able to finish up a few other links before then.
No. The dungeon that opens on December 8th is Magatsu Mandala/Magatsu Inaba. If you're thinking of the Aeon link and the Hollow Forest, that happens after assuming you have it maxed by December 24th.
Bare in mind that the deadline for December's dungeon is actually December 24th. You CAN hold off on completing December's dungeon until that specific day, but then you'll miss spending Christmas Eve with your love interest as well as an accessory depending on who you dated.
We complete December's dungeon on the 22nd because this is the last day that lets you still attend the events (they occur on 12/23 and 12/24 only if the dungeon is clear.)
Although it's worth noting that if you hold off until December 24th you can fuse a Yosh*tsune with Debilitate, a move only two other Personas get naturally (Norn and Trumpeter.) It's really not that big of a deal, though.
