Adachi' SL (spoilers)

So I just finished the game and I noticed how adachi's sl never went over rank 8 for me, how? I had reached rank 6 by November 1st and according to the internet, the rest was supposed to automatically progress so where did I go wrong?

I searched it up and apparently it progresses to rank 9 after you defeat him and the big eye thing (don't remember it's name) but that never happened to me, the game just went on. Is that a bug or was there something else I'm supposed to do?

Its based off which ending you get.

I'm pretty sure I got the true golden ending, did I need a different ending for that?

I maxed him on Vita a few years ago. I wanna say I remember you're supposed to go into the TV world to speak to him alone after first discovering Magatsu Inaba?

Wait really? I chose not to cause I had promised rise and the others, damn. Oh well, guess I'll have to max him out when I decide to go for a new game +

I throught once u got to level 6 everything does what it needs to automatically

According to the guy above yes, I'm not 100% sure though. I got to 6 before november 1st but my social link never went above rank 8.

I thought it did it automatically too, but judging from what happened to me, I guess not.

This is my first playthrough, but I met him alone and I did get him to progress to SL 9 (haven't gotten far enough to get the letter from him yet). So I guess that is what we're supposed to do.

The Adachi SL has to be transformed into the Hunger SL by visiting him in the TV World alone. Once you have done that it will automatically achieve its max level in the true ending shortly before battling the endboss.
You will receive a letter once you have met with your friends in Junes
