Both times it happened to me were after a battle on the experience screen.
I tried running the game in borderless window mode and it seems to behave better. I could just have gotten lucky though.
If that had worked I would've done so, but it refuses to display any other window besides the frozen screen.
I can see them via Alt+Tab but I can't get them in front of the game.
If you are on Windows 10, press the Start menu button on your keyboard, click the desktops icon, create a new desktop if you don't already have one, drag the P4G window to the new desktop, and then you should be able to use the task manager to terminate the game.
Yes, that would be amazing if the keyboard actually responded. No alt tab, no ctrl alt del, nothing.
Unplugging the mouse and keyboard would give the USB connection and disconnection sounds but nothing would happen.
It literally required a manual shut down.
OH so it's even worse than my issue :( sorry
no clue why it keeps happening
A single crash
Lag
Anime cut scene lag
Screen tearing
Mouse cursor staying on the screen
Resolution options above 1920x1080 missing
No excessive use of motion blur or any blur whatsoever apart from the wetness shader they use when it rains.
Some things I have done to ensure I have a very smooth experience:
I have turned off the Steam Overlay via the launcher options.
I have disabled Fullscreen Optimizations on the .exe.
I have patched the .exe to use more than 2GB memory.
(go to NTcore's website and download the 4GB patcher tool and patch your Persona 4 Golden .exe file with it)
I have ensured V-Sync is off in the in-game options and in nVidia control panel (forcing it off) - as I use a G-Sync Monitor.
I have ensured the game is running at maximum performance via the nVidia control panel.
I was able to properly select my native resolution (2560x1440). And am running at 200% with zero issues.
Makesure RTSS is not running. Or enabled via Afterburner or anything like that. EVGA Precision running causes zero issues.
Both at loading areas, and after battles.
Now I just lost like 50 minutes of progress in the dungeon, because the save system sucks since you can't save inside...
Also seems kinda random, since after reloading if not in the dungeon the exact same scene loads fine...
Looked at PCGW - no mention of these freezes there
RAM/ CPU speed/ GPU ?
