Also, Persona 5 takes place in 2016. This can be determined by Easter eggs referencing the previous games and by the fact that the in-game calendar matches the 2016 calendar. (OP, while each game has a different protagonist, they all take place in the same universe, so newer games generally contain references and Easter eggs to the older ones.)
Mass destruction is actually the song that plays, although in a much darker tone, when he is assassinated
Im gonna cry
Mass Destruction is actually from Persona 3, which came out in 2006! That's why the Mementos stage turns blue if you play that song; blue is Persona 3's main color!
There are some Persona 4 songs in the Joker DLC though. "Reach Out To The Truth", "I'll Face Myself", and "Time To Make History" are all from Persona 4, and turn the Mementos stage yellow, Persona 4's color.
No, Joker is the protagonist of the game Persona 5 for PS4. It recently had an updated release, Persona 5 Royal. Check it out if you're able and want to play Joker's story!
Panther/Ann Takamaki isn't in this game either. Romance is an option, as you can hang out with a bunch of people in town. In Golden, you have the chance to romance 4 of your party members along with a few other girls at your school. However, if you like Ann, the characters Yukiko Amagi and Rise Kujikawa share a lot of similarities!
Persona 4 came out in 2009, but this current version of the game, Golden, came out in 2012. The game takes place in 2011, five years before Joker would move to Tokyo. It's about the silver-haired protagonist (who I will henceforth refer to as Yu) moving from Tokyo to a very small town called Inaba. While in Inaba, a series of murders and kidnappings take place, while rumors of the mysterious Midnight Channel swirl. You and your friends discover you can go through TVs to access the "TV World", and decide to try and solve who is behind all the mysterious kidnappings.
The main enemies are "shadows". Basic shadows can not be negotiated with like in Persona 5, they're generic enemies. But the bosses of each dungeon represent the repressed feelings of the dungeons owner (for example, if you say you like someone's cooking, but you really, really hate it, your shadow knows that!). Accepting your "shadow" gives you your Persona!
Persona 4 originally released on PS2, so it doesn't have a lot of the same flash as Persona 5, but it has a lot of heart and a wonderful story. Even if Joker isn't in it, it's still a great place for you to start. Welcome to the series!
This is bait. Joker has nothing on Yu Narukami the original super Chad.
the absolute state of persona fans
I’d still recommend playing this one since it’s a great game, but joker didn’t exist as of this game so he’s not in it.
(And unlike some others I’m not gonna be a ♥♥♥♥ to people who haven’t played a fairly niche game for not knowing it as well as I do)
