never played a persona game before and dont own a PS4 to play persona 5 royal, though I may pick it up when the PS5 launches.

5 is solid but if you are looking to play a Persona game on PC then P4G is a good starting point and it has lots of replayability and new game plus options.

It's the best starting point not only for persona games, but maybe for any smt games. I played this one on vita first, fall in love, did not like p3, love p5 and from there went and played smt games. So don't worry - you're on the right starting line!

It doesn't matter which persona game you play,all of them are standalone games. The only thing you might not understand are some cameos or easter eggs from other games which it does not impact your story experience,but other than that,you will be fine.

I started with P4G when it release on Vita and it's still one of the best games I ever played. It's not as challenging as P3 und not as "dark" either, it's a pretty good starting point. If you like the game and the concept, you can still consider playing one of the others. I dumped around 400h into this game on vita and still haven't got the Platinum, so you get a lot of content for your money too.

There is no Waifu wars only Yukiko = Best Waifu, And this was my first SMT game its a good starting point, I would also suggest the strange journey remake if you have a 3DS as its a good 2nd SMT gme

This is the perfect place to start. A lot of players consider this the best in the series but I've never been able to decide. It is an excellent game.
