Worth playing if I've watched the anime?

I dont play JRPG's often, and sometimes its really hard for me to get pack the combat, plus I've seen the anime.

Is this a decent beginner's jrpg or is it still worth it for someone who's already seen the anime?

Yes. There are entire characters and social links and scenarios that weren't in the Persona 4 anime, as the Anime adapts the original game, not Golden. I think some "expansion" episodes were released a few years later, but I don't think they were ever released outside of Japan.

honestly the anime is awful by comparison, they had to cut alot to fit it into 24 episodes.

The anime was terrible. You get better pacing and plot from the game.

The anime compresses 20+ hours of dialogue and story into roughly seven and a half hours.

THAT SAID, I strongly disagree about it being 'terrible'. It does a fine job and actually improves on some scenes from the game. Also, makes me wish the protagonist was fully voiced. That's coming from someone who usually prefers silent protagonists.

the anime is the summarized of the story
and there is 2 anime,1 anime for the regular persona 4,and 1 anime for the golden version,in which the protagonist is from NG+ with OP power from the start

Yeah, I don't think the Anime is terrible either. I own it on blu-ray, I watch it occasionally. It's a fun watch. I especially like Narukami being the ultimate troll build. It's funny.

But it is just a cliffnotes version of the story. I would always suggest the game.

The anime absolutely butchered the final arc as a 'bonus episode' thing, and not giving it like the 3 or 4 episodes it probably needed.

There was a Golden Animation that was Subbed I think by fans that consisted of 13 Episodes I do believe.

There were 26 episodes not 24. With that being said. I disagree. I felt the did an amazing job with the Anime since they had a game that consisted of like 20+ hrs of they had to compressed it down.

Yeah usually I would recommend watching the Anime after completing the game. Yeah when Yu being a troll. Like when him and Rise are making Origami stuff and he says "You suck"
