Cutscenes lag
Is there any way to stop the cutscenes from lagging?
I've tried various fixes posted here but none have worked and I want to find one before I reach the limit of refund time (If I don't find a fix)

No way to answer this question without knowing what your specs are (my system is running the game with no lag in cut scenes and haven't dropped a single frame in game play, but saying that doesn't help if I don't say what my system specs are, you know?)

What are your specs? Have you updated your video drivers?

Where can I look up my specs?
This is a family PC, not my own. So I don't have the specifics.

My computer is a few years old, but runs the game (in-engine) decently at HD resolution. It looks great. It also plays audio throughout. When wandering around the town, the music plays flawlessly.

However, the cutscenes stutter (both audio and video) like crazy, more or less constantly (they're unwatchable). I've tried running borderless, in a window, turning graphics settings and resolution all the way down, even unticking all but one CPU thread. Nothing has worked so far.

Edit: OS and graphics drivers all fully updated.

If you're on Windows 10, click on your windows icon and type in "control panel". Open it. On the right side of the window should be "View by". Click "Large Icons". Find the icon that says "System". Open that. There you'll find your processor and RAM.

For video card, right click on your desktop. Open Display Settings. Under the display tab, click Advanced Display Settings. Under display information it should tell you what video card your display is hooked up to.

if you enable the fps counter in steam you can see that during cutscenes the fps go really low, this is probably a developer mistake that will be fixed tomorrow hopefully, still there's not too many anime cutscenes so its not really a reason to refund the game

Here's what it says:

Processor: Intel (R) Atom(TM) x7-Z8700

RAM: 4.00 GB

Video Card: Intel (R) HD Graphics

I hope that helps

Your specs are probably way too low to decode the cutscenes fast I guess. There's probably some frame lag too, the Atom series of processors are known for being damn sluggish. Sorry buddy :(
It isn't just a low end PC issue...im on a 4.5ghz 5960X with a 1080ti and it happens to me.

I managed to fix it by setting my monitor refresh to 60hz, max game FPS to 60 in nvcpl, and limiting the game to using only 2 threads on my cpu. I posted this as a solution but it didnt seem to work for others so i removed it.

Darn. What should I do then? Should I refund the game? I really want to experience the cutscenes. But if my computer can't handle it I'm better off saving for a new PC or a Vita.

but that doesn't make sense tbh, the game itself is more demanding than just an fmv, I have the same issue with better specs

Really? So is it not a specs thing? Is it more of a game bug?
I really want to know since I'm thinking about refunding the game.

It's definitely a bug. The game itself runs perfectly fine for me (100+fps on average), but the cutscenes still stutter.

Yup, game bug.
Just checked on my steam library and I have played (and completed) more demanding games on the same system.
Guess I should just wait until Atlus puts out a patch.
