cut-scene resolution?
I have the resolution at 1080p @ 200%
but the animated cutscenes seem to be low quality.
Also i suggest turning vsync on cause i see screen tearing during these cutscenes.

They are 544p, the Playstation Vita resolution.

The animated cutscenes are from the VITA version which was at 960x544.
And that was already a upscaled version of the PS2 cutscenes.
Apparently they did not have higher quality masters, so this is as good as it gets.

Until game devs start using machine learning upscalers, at least.

You should see the wonders fan projects with PS1 game cutscenes are doing.

Sure, if they really wanted to they could have improved the quality of the cutscenes for sure.
But this looks like a rather low effort VITA port. Resolution raised, FPS limit removed, dual language and thats it.

Nothing wrong with that of course, in exchange its pretty cheap.
I just think they did not put that many resources into it.
Especially since ATLUS is usually very anti PC.

could modders upscale the videos?

Depends if they are just stored freely in the installation folder, then its easy to work on them.
If they are integrated into the game files that are usually encrypted it gets a lot harder.
