Is it possible to abandon your crew and find a new one that will accept you? if not, then please add it.

Are you talking about desertion? Why not, I'll think about it. But it would not be without impact.

maybe an ex-sailor of the Royal Navy? i mean, the guy should have really good stats if he served in the navy right/
edit: I meant a playable character, not a sailor.

Hey, first off I just wanted to say that I am enjoying this game tremendously. 100% happy with the purchase, expect a glowing review once I have some more hours and time to collect my thoughts.

One minor thing that was bothering me was that sometimes when you right click on a sailor to assign him, his specialization (white text) will be very difficult to read because there's a cloud behind it (white background). I'd suggest changing the color to something that won't get lost in any of your background art. Or adding a background like you do for the assignment options, perhaps.

To jc1220 :
I don't plan to add playable characters.

To Fatterrific :
Thank you!
Yes, I understand, I think I added it a little too quickly. I'll fix that.

Hey, i wonder, if we sail a specific flag we should be friendly with the ships bearing them right? could be useful when the ship is falling to pieces and only 4 men are left alive, or we could set a trap for the sailors that want to help us and kill them all while taking their stuff.

By adding the game of flags, I allowed, I don't know if it happened to you, that you have a head start at the beginning of the fight.
I don't know yet if I will add flag situations.

After playing enough combat encounters, I would either like to see more decisive captains or no consequence for insubordination..... This primarily stems from going into combat low on shot. The idea was for me to keep targeting the engines and eventually board (assuming my sails didn't get shot out) and I really had to hear it from the captain because he either wanted the hull to be targeted or I wanted to hold my fire at least until I was close enough to use grapeshot.

Another thing that I've found frustrating, was drifting to port, and not even being able to buy so much as a single ton of wood, coal, fabric, and/or metal.

I had deliberately decided that the orders were not necessarily "smart" for the contradiction to be useful. But it's true that I tend to play like you and never respect firing on the hull. I was just going to work on making the fighting smarter and more adapted to the captain's personality.

About cargo in ports, it's true that it can be frustrating, especially when you take the risk of crossing a huge sea. I thought of adding something that will enrich the RP and increase the chances of not wandering around for a long time without being able to do anything. Because, as you say in your commentary, you stay in the situation where you are waiting for the defeat of this ship to start again rather than persevere.

About the (at will) orders, can i tell the captain to give me an order instead?

You can't. You'd rather follow his orders?
jc1220 Oct 26, 2020 @ 2:44am
It's not that, i just suck at timing.... i will see if i can improve...........

I wanted the appearance to be random because you don't choose your face in life. When you're ugly, you deal with it.

XD, It is a shame though, some people bought the game to roleplay someone.
