L.A. Noire crashes after selecting "Start Game" from launcher.

I got this game just now as it was on sale, tried to install but there's some errors..
When I try to launch my game on my Windows 7 64bit desktop with the following specs :

As with these information I strongly believe that my desktop is definitely able to play LA Noire, but whenever I start the game it just hangs for awhile, and an error pops up saying there's an error with my LA. Noire and it needs to close, without any error message.

Help please ! :( I just bought this game today and am really eager to play it! D:

The LA Noire 100% works post on the main page worked for me - was quite dubious, but first successful launch in about 2 weeks.

OP since the GTS 250 is just a renamed 9800 GTX+ the best thing you could do would be to get a new GPU since the one you have is very very old and not close to what you should have for game like L.A. Noire. If you can't do that then lower the resolution and graphics settings to the lowest you can. That might and I stess might let you play the game.

Over all yes you have a decent rig but your GPU is just to old. Get yourself a GTX 670 and you would have a really good rig.

And to all of the "it is just a console port" post that could not be farther from the truth as this was completely redone for PC and on a rig that can handle it the game runs very very good.

I got GT440, Nvidia, and Win XP and still got this problem with any patch I able to find. Should I use a stolen pirate copy? People say it works fine and clean from the first launch.

the only diff would be copyprotection which has nothing to do with how old your rig is

my guess its social club or windows live gamin or both

try the exe from the common aps

Je rencontre d'enorme probleme avec LA Noir. Entre freeze des cutscene, script qui se bloque, les voix qui disparaisent et les sous titres qui ne se décalle, je ne sais plus quoi faire :s
Tous mes drivers sont a jour, j'ai essayer toutes les resolutions graphique, tous les parametrages que se soit en direct X 9 ou 11 ... ca me gave sévere.
Si quelqu'un a un pacth miracle qu'il se face connaitre

Same trouble. Bought this a while ago. It worked once, now it freezes on the Launch option and just locks up the computer - Win7 64bit

Set at any resolution at 30 fps, that will fix it.

i always cap at 30 fps as thats what most standard NON hd video is
anyone who says higher the fps the better doesnt really know what they are talking about.. minus hd stuffs..

hd in NA being 60fps in euro being 50fps*
