Could not locate L.A. Noire game executable

I keep getting this message each time i try to play the game. It tells me to re-install from original media. I assume that means verify the game cache and reinstall, but each time i do that I get this message again

Have you try Re-Installing? Or check your AV too, maybe it blocks something-to-launch LA NOIRE, like what happen to mine killing floor.

I am having this problem. It worked fine for the first two days and now my Norton Internet Security is saying the exe file is a "Suspicious.MH690.A" and deletes it claiming it is a trojan virus. It may be your av doesn't notify you what it is doing and is deleting the exe file. Even when I check the cache and steam reinstalls the missing files (2 apparently) Norton just removes them again. Luckily Norton allows me to restore the file if I know it to be ok, but it is a worry when your av which you rely on to keep you safe is telling you this file is a trojan! I won't restored it yet without a bit more research.

Have just tried to reinstall the exe and Norton just keeps deleting it. Even if I tell Norton to restore and exclude the exe from future checks it still keeps removing the file. Looks like I will have to deactivate Norton while I am playing Noire and reinstall the cache each time. This is the first problem I have had with this av suite and I have use Norton for 5 years now. It's a pain but at least I can still play the game.

Hope your av is a little more forgiving if it turns out you have the same problem..
