YOU NEED INTERNET TO PLAY A SINGLE PLAYER GAME???

ROCKSTAR SUCKS THEIR GAMES ARE AMAZING BUT THEIR SERVICE IS AS DIRTY AS THE BOTTOM OF A SEWER. 3RD PARTY ACCOUNT, INTERNET CONNECTION ON GAMES THAT DONT NEED IT? SHOULD I GIVE YOU MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AS WELL WHILE WE ARE AT IT?

You say, using your Steam account, which is online, complaining about a game made not by Valve but by Rockstar, effectively making your Steam account a 3rd party account you'd use to launch L.A. Noire as opposed to a Rockstar account which would be regarderd as first party since they made the dang game.
Moreover: no, you don't need internet to play the game, it only checks at first launch for activation.

i completely get it. the user who responded sounds silly. steam is online but we can play offline and save on SOME games so he said a whole lot of nothing. I get it tho, why need online connection if its singleplayer...maybe cause of their servers but other big companies do it so i don't see why they can't.

There is no sematics involved at all. You don't want a 3rd party account, yet you use one all the time when you log in here. You don't want an online mode, but you use Steam online all the time. Sure you can use it offline. However, have you read the description saying you can play LA Noire offline once it's been activated? You know, just like you can play Steam offline once you bought your game online first? Or have you seen the word "online" and immediately thought "brain out, reactions in"?
Where's the need to cry out lout with your overuse of caps?
I find your type fascinating, it's so funny you can be so overconfidently wrong and have no other arguments so start calling other people fanboys or questioning their joy in life because they point out a flaw in your complaint :-)

And where does it say in my sentence that I don't want an online mode? rdr2 gta online are great but thats not the problem im talking about. Last time I checked you need internet to play Rockstar games because the launcher gatekeeps you. If you go offline mode in steam and play the game even with an account itll say "Failed Activation Check" even if youve already logged in your rockstar account. So yes you dont need internet when playing the game but you do need internet to play the game. like I said, semantics. And did you really get offended because I called you a fanboy? lil bro got tilted and started essaying lmao. Some people just don't admit that they're wrong. easily offended generation indeed.
