You're right but LA Noire isn't the only game that does this. Some are indeed relevant to the plot as well.
Quit before watching the cutscene?
Twice during cases, I had to leave just after the cutscene finished. Loading the game back up meant watching it again.
Apparently I have to be extra careful about when I choose to stop playing, just to ensure I don't have to sit through something I've seen already.
I wasn't trying to tell you how to play and I'm not going to pretend that's an ideal solution... but that's all I can offer really.
Having said all this: I'm all for unskippable cutscenes but I don't think many games will have them in the future and it'll be something you'll just have to put up with. I'm sorry if my comment appeared demeaning earlier on.
If I've seen it before, maybe I'd want to skip some parts?
