Are Street Crimes worth doing?
I'm new to this game and am a few missions into the main story. One thing that is bothering me is the Street Crimes, those random requests for help/rude interruptions you get while doing real cases. As a completionist, I feel obligated to do them all, but I really don't enjoy the missions because (at least so far), they've just been the generic "go here, shoot these bad guys" sort of jobs.

So long story short, should I just skip street crimes from now on or do they eventually become more interesting to play?

Many thanks,
-Kenny

i really like these side missions actually. It is the only time when you really get to shoot people and chase cars, the main missions are mostly interrogating and searching also fun of course. Furthermore, the street crimes are very short so you are done quickly which is good, because there are a lot of them.
But as you progress through the ranks of the department they become increasingly difficult and interesting.
I say do them for the immersion if not anything else. A good guy like Cole Phelps wouldn't let bad guys wreak havoc as they please.

I see. Personally, I'm enjoying the interrogation and clue searches more than the action-oriented gameplay, but everyone's different. I'll probably keep doing them unless they just become too annoying. I always just assumed another officer would respond, so Cole wouldn't have to worry too much about it :)

the action in this game sucks, but i think you get XP & therefore instinct points, thats the main reason im doing them atm on my replaythru. just began so theyre easy right now...when they get difficult ill prob stop.

I always let my partner drive the car: saves a lot of time, so I never get to do those side missions. But that's fine with me because I can't be bothered with the shooting and pursuits: I like the game for the actual detective work I have to do! It's already bad enough I am sometimes forced to shoot or drive during cases ;) because imho both aren't very good... I also don't need the xp or whatever because I am not interested in 100% completion and also not the instinct points which I never use anyway. Finding all cars and whatever also doesn't interest me at ALL: has nothing to do with the actual game imho.

Let your partner drive, then do street crime in free ride

I have not detected any increase of the diffculty during these street crime cases. Since I want the correlated achievement plus all the extra suits, Im' gonna do them all. Only thing that is kind annoying, later on at Vice desk you really need to drive all the way back from Hollywood to Central for each single case... :-(

just accept the mission, get out of your car and then get your partner to drive :D

This is what I was practically asking myself as well. I'd like to know if (without spoilers, please) you can do them after you've finished the game? I'm also a completionist and get anal about these things. I also find it breaks the immersion when my partner is telling me to rush to a house because we've got a big break in the case but then there's a street crime comes through on the radio. You wouldn't just abandon the case to solve some petty crime. (some are petty)
