With the supposed techincal problems with the game besides I guess i'm probably going to just pass on the sale -_- DRM/additional launchers and technical issues are not welcome additions to my gaming life right now.
When I buy something I just want to click a button and play, not screw around and load up a bunch of other useless garbage everytime, is that so much to ask?
Thanks for the heads up. I read about it on the store page, but I'm unfamiliar with how it all works. So there's Steam, then there's Rockstar Social Club launcher + login, and whatever the heck Gameshield's doing? What a drag. I take it Gameshield's an install limit, right?
RockStar is an annoying company.

Social Club is used to provide in-game online features like "Ask the Community" and leader boards. Why doesn't it use Steam for this you ask? Because this way people aren't forced to use Steam if they purchase a retail copy or from another distributor.
EDIT: Also want to add that in Steam copies GameShield never prompts you for anything and after you login to Social Club you won't have to mess with SC either.
@JD180 - That functionality of GameShield is never used. The only time you'd see GameShield is if you bought the game retail or on another digital distributor -- even then its really only for making sure your game is up to date.
In other word yes it does have 'drm' but it´s nowhere near as bad as some other drm is so if you think it seems like a fun game go ahead and buy it. The complete edition is a bargain at it´s current price.
Never wanted a game bad enough to pirate it. Never wanted a game bad enough to ignore DRM whether it's intrusive or not - it's the principle of the thing.
