Game-Breaking Bug "The Black Caesar"

So I'm near the beginning of "The Black Caesar" and whenever I try to talk to Fleetwood Jones it stops the conversation after he answers the first question. I know that I am supposed to ask him two questions but I can't speak to him after the convo stops. I've tried reloading the save, responding incorrectly, using intuition, not finding clues, and restarting the case. I am at a loss as to what other inputs would be put into the equation. What do?

I've just reached this case myself in my story playthrough,

unfortunately I do not know what is causing ur problem.
I manage to ask the first two question and only get to ask the 3rd after I found another clue....

Could try using steam to check ur files if they're installed properly.
forgot what that process is called. :)

I "verified the integrity of the game cache" but I still have the same issue.

Yes so after I verified the game cache a message said that there was an error and that it will be fixed. I have no idea how to make that specific file reinstall. I restarted the case and restarted Steam but the case still doesn't work. I'm just going to reinstall the whole game.

worst case scenario, u can try to get a refund and buy else where or watch on youtube playthroughs if ur interested where the story is going. :)

For those who have this same problem, just make sure you investigate all items within the suitcase with the trumpet: the ticket AND the trumpet front with a tag inside.
