Why can't I get fullscreen. When I started the game the (dumbass) RockStar required app asked whether I wanted fullscreen or not. I selected full screen, and it starts windows.

You will find it at C:\Users\<your profile name>Documents\Rockstar Games\L.A. Noire

and open setting in notepad

Right click your desktop and go to display settings. Copy the resolution into the settings file and save it, then right click the setting and set it to read-only.

yeah samuel but you're missing the point. it also changes your resolution back too. mine keeps changing it back to 720p, even after i did the steps listed above.

Sounds like a you-problem to me, i just fix it within the game and it goes back to normal.

I changed my desktop display to 1600 x 900 and the game to the same and it works in full screen perfectly :guardian:

Did all of this, and yet when I start the game the text is all cut off to the right, and in game the bottom of my screen seems to be cutoff. The bottom half of my map icon is cutoff and coles feet also seem to be cutoff. My resolution is 1920x1080 at 144hz so I entered "1920x1080x144" into the settings but it didn't seem to change it

Alternatively You could change the fullscreen setting in the file from "NO" to "YES" because my resolution setting is already the same as my Laptop so the problem is in that NO setting
