Why is the Intolerance movie set present in 1947 LA?

To those who have played through the game, you'll know that the Intolerance movie set is a major plot device in the game. It's modeled after a real location (as well as most of the other landmarks), and the movie "Intolerance" is real. However, according to some research, the colossal set was declared a fire hazard and subsequently demolished only a couple of years after the film's release in 1916. Has anyone addressed the fact that it's still standing in LA Noire, when it takes place almost 30 years after the set met its demise?
