Game won't Launch

Hi is there anyone out there who has experienced having trouble trying to Launch L.A. Noire, because I bought the Game back in 2013 played it for a while & then, I bought a Gaming P.C by Fierce & now I can't seem to Launch the Game after I've re-installed it , any clues as to how to overcome this I did try the www.dropbox.com method but all I got was the page on how to register an account, I'm at my wits end Please help otherwise I'll end up throwing the F#~KING thing out the Window.

Yeah, me too.

Tried al the fixes and solutions and it still didn't work.
Even had chat support with Rockstar and they couldn't fix it either (thank you!)

Today I finally got the game to run on my Pc.

Here is how:

 I've installed the game to  a directory without spaces between 'Rockstar Games' and 'L.A. Noire' ...
 Applied the  LAN_Patch_2617_0_0_0 [support.rockstargames.com]
 Started the Game App (LANLauncher).
 Logged in to my Social Club account.
 Activated the game.
 Continued. Done.

Happy. Angry!

The idea of getting rid of the spaces between the folder names crossed my mind earlier. Maybe because I solved this in the past that way, or because I solved some issue on my work that way... I'm not entirely sure.
But I thought; nah, this couldn't be it. Otherwise the Rockstar technician would have mentioned it for sure!

Later on I read about it in some article but didn't pay much attention to it (unlikely this is going to work, I have to uninstall the game and install it all over again etc.).
But this was also mentioned on an Pcgaming Wiki article [pcgamingwiki.com] for L.A. Noire, and here I found this thiny link [gtaforums.com] to the GTAForums website where it was also mentioned. So I decided to give it a try., And yes! this finally worked for me.

just exit steam., steam as administrator then launch the game. after this it will work every time. i installed it for the first time this week and after i did that its worked fine. .... well fine as a 30fps cap with a 2080ti lol

For Windows 8 (and 8.1 and Win10).

Otherwise you should make sure to update Social Club [support.rockstargames.com], the Launcher will download available patches automatically.

I dind't need any of these fixes at all to get it running, so this is actually less common.

Shut down steam and relaunch it in admin mode for me it works fine.

I'm not running the game in any compatibility mode, or even with the Error Handler registry fixes which are sometimes needed, so I don't see any incompatibility issues. The game is also listed on this Microsoft Community site [answers.microsoft.com] for Windows 10 compatibility.

Don't give up yet.

Have you visited the PCGW article [pcgamingwiki.com] I mentioned before?

You can also try this link [appuals.com], with some other steps to try. They are advertising for Reimage software, just for your information before visiting the site!

Woo and Hoo! The reg patches worked; only needed to apply the first two.

I have Win10, runned it in Admin mode once and works fine without crashes! So idk, u talk bs

find la noire and change the settings to your liking, if you use 60 fps with it when you're in the menu press the * key on your numpad.

I have tried the registry patches but they don´t work. I have the game installed in D: in a folder together with other steam games. maybe I need to install it in it´s own folder, but steam doesn´t let me choose any other folder. How to do that? And is there any way to choose the path for the installation of the registry patches to make sure they get to the right spot?
