If they're porting the game to those platforms, it means they have access to the source code.
Rockstar could patch this version if they wanted to, but let's be honest, they won't. Not because they can't, but because they already have our money and the new ports are all about getting a ton of money from people who never bought the game.
Lol exactly that was what I was thinking, current PC version state still rules at max res, what else do you want?
They did announced some enhanced graphics.
Also the original version always had problems with shadows looking grainy and pixelated (especially noticeable on the notebook) and during the rain you get some wonky lighting effects on the cars (It's really obvious during The White Shoe Slaying case), the headlights make a square shaped light that definitely shouldn't look like that.
There are other problems, which i thankfully don't have, but you can find them easily on forums across the internet: Buildings having flashing textures, Faces have a weird shimmer to them, FPS stuttering, crashes during cinematics.
It is a very bad port, maybe not as bad as GTA IV but it's up there.
So a new version, that was ported properly without the ton of problems would definitely be appreciated.
Quit nitpicking and using other peoples issues to further your own agenda. Read a guide, change some settings and enjoy the game. If you can't do that, go buy a console.
even game reviewers and ign when showing off the game on pc had a crappy time getting it to run great...
rockstar is very lazy when porting to pc..
gta 5 actually they first and really only great port they ever did... mostly cause they knew it will still sell great and really for the online business model they have set up......
rockstar really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ towards it pc fan base. been showing past 12 years or so lol
And retarded morons like are the reason why companies like Bethesda and others release unfinished, broken games with next to no quality assurance because blind fanboys will just say "It's your hardware, go buy a console, go to some ini files, it's not the companies fault"
Sad to see that people are so blind in their fanboyism that they can't even accept valid criticism about a product.
And, my hardware can handle Witcher 3 maxed out, it surely can handle this old game, rofl.
Why do you think that "L.A. Noire Pixelated Shadows" gives over 47.000 results?
How long do you expect companies to patch/update games for? Your lucky if the big publishers go beyond 2-3 years on some games. Heck, Mass Effect Andromeda didn't even make 6 months before EA pulled the plug. I didn't say companies were blameless but at the end of the day they've got your money and people keep buying their games.
I rarely buy games from the main publishers on release because I know they will not work right console or not. Anything from EA and Bethesda especially will be have an arm's length of issues on release. Anyone stupid enough to buy a day 1 releases by either of those two really shouldn't complain. If they haven't learned by now or even listened to the many voices of wisdom they never will.
WTF are you on about? The PC is getting something. Exclusive VR content for the Vive, built from the ground up for VR. I plan on playing this Day One.
