You can either play quick chase with public matchmaking, party chase, or single player mode mode. We have a single player mode
Hi Anfraxx,
The information regarding an 8 player online requirement is incorrect. You can play with any amount of players at any time or play solo mode. We have a quick play mode where you can match make with up to 12 players along with a Party Queue to load in with as many friends as you want including just 1 other (12 max).
Regarding the The 8 players limit for "private parties" is a technical limitation with the way our matchmaking is made since we use dedicated servers only.
We're working to improve this rapidly and you can track the progress of this task on our public development Trello here : https://trello.com/c/93v3NjCK/1232-private-party-changes
We hope to see you in the chase soon, we are actively working around the clock to release updates to improve the game.
Feel free to join our public discord and/or monitor our development trello to see live progress.
Sincerely,
Walk
