Thats my only complaint, everything else is great!
In my judgment this DLC is more worth it for first time players - not enough here to make a 50 hour player come back and play it all again, but it does make the game feel more complete. I'd say this DLC is a little overpriced, but the base game is probably underpriced - its a great game and I think you'll be satisfied with it with or w/o the dlc.
Nowhere on the omen selection screen or the cities screen do I see any option related to this mechanic....
Hi ! You need to unlock 4 weapons in one category (physical, ranged, magic) to get it. You can then access it in the top right corner of the world map.
Yes but an actual owner of the game is not going to buy it again in a bundle, so that greater rewards goes for newcomers. My point stands, make a completion bundle for owners apart from the newcomers bundle and imo all would be fair. But removing what you already had...only has 1 purpose and that was my point and my complaint. Either that or it was an error, but it it clear now it was not an error :P
No, sorry, you are wrong. What you describe is what was working before the change. Now that there's no completion bundle, the base game is included with the price for that bundle (visually, Steam tells you that you already had the game with a cross out of that text, but the price of the base game still counts for the total bundle price discounted or not)
As i said, it's a very disappointing move for an indie dev, at least when you remove something you already had. But as this is apparently published by 3 companies (1 from Japan, 1 from China and 1 from France, as the devs) it's more than possible that this is a move promoted or simply made by any of those pubilshers, or by all. In any case, a disgusting change for original pre-release owners.
The base games is $25 and the DLC is $30? Then please add 4 more levels, and, a whole new set of perks, passives and items.
The content they've added seems right on track for how the game should evolve - just not really matching the price point in my humble opinion.
The new beers, however, clog the alchemist with questionable options like "give up your damage for more accuracy" which is an option reserved for the foolish and desperate; you can get more accuracy from leveling up, specific talents, gear, or through reducing dodge via debuffs (druidic staff, usually). The consumable is by far the worst option. You'd be better off sacrificing damage on a level up and using a damage potion to make up the difference, but you can't make that choice... because RNG decided to give you beer, instead.
In summary, potion variety should be adjustable, just like weapons. They've gone from being niche to a hard sell, and I've been kicking myself for getting the essence unlock for beer. I'd have been better off just ignoring it.
Edit: By the way, the scroll for the great shield's ability has the wrong name on it. Walls of pain has the name for the gauntlet, I think.
