Moreover, some weapons have opportunism/isolation bonuses, meaning the bonus gets multiplied even more!
For example: the magic orb has a strong isolation bonus on its first basic attack. It's meant to target only isolated units, otherwise it will do nearly no damage.
Other example: the Sorching wave skill (Power staff) has a strong opportunism bonus. Be sure to apply a debuff before launching it, it will double the damage, at the very minimum!
As a consequence, some weapons are nearly unplayable without theses bonuses. You will need isolation for the orb and dagger (don't play the rifle, trust me). You will need opportunism mostly for the druidic staff also.
However, I would advice you to not rely too much on these mechanisms for basic ennemies. You should be able to kill them with basic attacks, not worrying too much about applying a debuff for example. On the other hand, it's very important, when you fight a boss/elite/tier 6 ennemy etc... to check your opportunism/isolation bonuses and act accordingly. It will increase your damage by a lot!
