Edit : Ah, I see it in the major update description.
Well - as they said, it needs to be done, so technical stuff. Anyway, maybe they will give a cheat to unlock stuff.
hahaha. Are you 12?? Who talks like this unironically?
If you don't like it, you don't need to play the game. If you have bought in and already spent as many hours as you say, then you have certainly gotten your value from the game, no?
It has always been an early access game and the devs have always been up front that a wipe like this might be necessary before release. You bought the game with that understanding, funding the development process.
It's an amazing game. I am also a little put off by the wipe, but for me it gives another EXCUSE to play an amazing game. If you don't feel the same... Do something else WITH YOUR LIMITED LIFESPAN!!!
jfc
I mean. You agreed to this. You knew it was a risk. Shouldn't have played it if you weren't.
The game is obviously tracking how many points you spent in the "shop" so it must be possible to refund them.
The other "shop" is based on achievements. I can't imagine ALL of those achievements are being changed. So why can't we keep the upgrades tied to those which remain the same?
Are you really OK with losing all progress and needing to do all the same things over again? You want to go through that torturous process of starting with utterly useless heroes and no ballistae again?
The game gets much better after you unlock some of these things. To have all of that taken away is to fail to respect the time of the player.
Why is it so slow to start with? Unlocking takes forever.
I did not expect them to do this in a game where there's such a focus on meta-progression and especially not when said meta-progression is so slow.
Definitely not at this stage. Maybe really early on. But you shouldn't be waiting until your players have potentially progressed through multiple levels and are probably ready for the game to have a proper ending, and then, and only then, taking away all their progress and expecting them to do EVERYTHING AGAIN.
The ending isn't even here yet. They might do another reset between this coming update and the final one.
Also glad I didn't do any essence grind or apocalypse leveling runs seeing as that would have been pointless.
It must be quite the rework if they're willing to nuke everything, even completed runs because inevitably it'll reduce the amount of players testing the new stuff and annoy a portion of the rest of players.
Considering how long runs take it's never really been a game for people with little time to spare though so I guess the repercussions won't be too bad.
Still really curious about these changes and I'd assume that unlocking speed is gonna increase massively. There's quite a few early access resource sinks in the game so those are most definitely getting ironed out.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I am.
It's normal for early access that something like this happens, often multiple times, and as far as I remember this was warned previously in advance and again now before the update goes live.
I think there is an issue with the speed of tainted essence gathering for new/fresh save players, especially since the talent rework and I am hoping that is one of the things a save reset is likely to produce data and feedback on.
Wow! It takes me that long just to do the final night on Glenwald, let alone the other nine.
My condolences.
Start a new map, but campaign is still intact. All unlocks are still unlocked.
No idea what this thread is even about.
It's about the news in this post in the feed:
