How does "no momentum" work?
I was looking at the Head-on perk, which says "Every 4 tiles traveled (excluding skills with 'No momentum'), the next attack gets: +15% physical damage + unblockable, and the description of no momentum is "Using this skill will not increase the Momentum bonus."

I don't think I've ever seen "No momentum" on any weapons, so I'm guessing that it just means that it doesn't work with weapons without the momentum modifier? Because the alternative would mean any melee attack benefits from momentum/tiles traveled, right? Which I'm pretty sure isn't the case. This might be really obvious, just a slightly confusing description since "No momentum" is capitalized like it's a specific weapon modifier.

Certain skills/perk abilities/scrolls have the no momentum tag, it just means traveling with those abilities doesn't build damage for momentum skills, and well this perk also. Its mostly stuff like blink and teleport scrolls. They aren't considered "movement", so they get the tag for no momentum so you know they won't work.
Like Telzen said, it's usually teleportation scrolls and jewelry that will be tagged as No Momentum and so won't increase the damage for any momentum abilities. I can't remember off the top of my head if there are any weapon skills that have the "No Momentum" tag as I haven't played in a long time. There aren't that many of them.

It's because it would make momentum skills too strong if you could increase their damage from things like teleportation scrolls which teleport you very long distances.
