After you build a ballista, there is a upgrade "seasoned operator" allow double shot.
There is an omen to give ballista and catapult better aoe, this is another thing
Thx for your reply but thats not what i am looking for. I can place the higher ballista like the small ones. Selecting a small one will upgrade it to a higher one. Selecting a higher one should show a button upgrading further into a doubleshot - but however i dont have such button. It was there before the 1.0 reset of my campaign - so i suppose i have to do something to get that feature but cant remember ...
Probably need to unlock it.
Think I got it already at LakeBurg (start fro scratch save file)
It's a dark essence purchase, can't recall exactly what I did to unlock it but I think upgrading ballistas/building 20 ballistas should do the trick. Could also be kill X enemies using ballistas, not sure.
I even did the first map where other than the first two waves and the boss, killed all the enemies on the map only using ballistas/catapults just to see if it was a kill count thing.
Still nothing. Very confused.
Don't remember exactly where i got it, but i think early 2nd map (Lakeburg)
Pretty early stuff for me, way before mounted ballistas.
After it is unlocked there is a new upgrade for each individual ballista.
Which leaves me wondering if its bugged.
But then again, you actually have no clue why things unlock.
I presume you have unlocked all the cheap upgrades and omens?
Edit: I don't know if it helps or not but I didn't upgrade any to mounted ballistas.
That said, I think I nailed down the requirement. I pretty much only built MOUNTED ballistas before because I didn't use ballistas at all early campaign, and generally only build them (in mass) right before a boss to avoid exp loss.
However, I repeated my "let the ballistas take the waves" experiment and used only regular ballistas and unlocked it.
Lesson here, it is "REGULAR ballista kill X enemies."
Mounted ballistas no count-a-rino. Schaden so picky!!
Quite key apparently!
