Boy am I glad I haven't been unlocking crappy weapons this time around. I can't imagine that first night with garbage base equipment.

I had an orb-rifle-2h sword start, somehow pulled through, wasn't pretty though.
I did have all early game omens, so that helped.

It's actually a lot easier than elderlicht because you don't have to pee on the torches every second turn on a big map.. Non-mounted ballistas are mvp with the engineer omen and you can buy that inn on the first day and get the 4th hero without spending 3 omen slots for it. The pay out for each day is massive that you don't have to build any gold mines and just go straight for those item production buildings.

Yea this is definitely a good tip. Mass ballista absolutely do work on this map. If you get a hero who earns xp when defensive structures get kills, watch their xp just soar ahead of everyone else.
