I am interested to learn more but figured I'd explain what I could so far.
However, they could make a map generator and/or freestyle random cities and that could work as an endgame for some time.
Speak for yourself, I'd love an endless mode with rotating bosses on 5-10 night basis, etc. Something to let me max out the economy and maximize characters while still being challenged by ever increasing numbers and levels of enemies. Absolutely no reason to not implement it IMO. Sure I'd probably stop around night 30-40 anyway but that would still be a very fun thing to play around with and would be 2-3 maps worth of playtime on its own.
I'm sure it's not the answer you would have wanted, sorry about that. But I hope you'll still enjoy the game !
Personal challenges is a way to go also - go full out unarmed punching or skip using omens etc.
Another version is to avoid killing the Boss and keep swatting of the oncoming waves... buit maybe all Bosses now head straight for the Circle if they are left on their own, so... not sure about this one.
Endless mode, as already said, has and is one of the most requested features. Developers have, as also said, repeatedly said that its not in their current planning.
They have stated that they want to make modding posslble so there's that to look forward to. At this moment they have officially said that core focus has been to get full game ready for release and now core focus is to deal with whatever bugs show up. An official roadmap forwards is still somewhere in the future.
It is what it is. And this is what we have, so far.
There's a lot of potential for DLCs or mods. The groundwork is solid.
