present but not to direct enemys and they are not the main way to defend from the enemy.
but walls infrastructure and even defense tower are part of the game.

Hi ! There are some defense tools, here is a list : Catapults, traps, ballistas, watchtower, walls & barricades. But I would not say that The Last Spell is a Tower Defense per se. There are waves of enemies and "towers" (catapults are manually triggered, ballistas automatically hit a close target), but it's mainly a turn-based strategy game.

Building defense help in cleaning up some weakened enemies.
But your heroes are the real defense and game changer

I would say that The Last Spell is as much tower-defense-ish as Dungeon of the Endless.

I don't like Tower Defense games with structures and stuff so this all is good news to me.

There is some building management, to mainly up your gold, materials and workforce flux.
Also some defense walls and stuff, mainly to delay enemies progression.
But yes, this is not a TD where you have to wisely put firing towers, or building a maze.
