Area 3 Chapter 3 Stuck

I was playing through chapter 3 area 3 and when i came to the part where you are supposed to open the 4 water things i got stuck, when i go down to the bottom right there is a pool of poison water i cannot pass. i looked online but everywhere i was the water was already pure. am i missing something or do i need to do one of the other passages first? i am playing on the hardest difficulty if that changes things any way. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah that water is poison only on Disaster Mode.
If there were Disaster Mode speedruns, it'd be super easy to see how they do it, but there's none. Thankfully, there are casual playthroughs of Disaster Mode
