Hi.
Did you get past the safe? I have kind of the same issue here.
Safe numbers doesn't move correctly, and it doesn't reset when I go away, so there's no way for me to complete this puzzle and carry on.
Please let me know if you could, and how. I'm desperated.
(I tried to play another downloaded save past that point, but I can't get it to work either)
Thanks

I ended up brute-forcing my way through. When you left-click, the dials do move clockwise SLOWLY, and right-clicking is counterclockwise SLOWLY. To speed it up, when you click on one of the dials, click on your bag in the corner, then right-click to go back to the safe. You'll see that the safe dial moved toward the next marker depending on whether you left or right-click.

Although tedious, this allowed me to set up the right combination according to what the in-game help says. Hope that helps all of you, I know this is probably six months late.

I know this a very late reply, but I figured this might help anyone else who looks to this thread in the future...

It is probably a good idea to do a save game before the safe since it doesn't reset, but I'm not sure this is necessary.

After I solved the puzzle, and found the solution online to confirm, I still couldn't get the safe open... and I realized it's because the developers purposely made the puzzle difficult to trick you. I thought each of the LARGE notches counted as 15. But actually, EVERY notch counts as 15 (even the small ones)! Each notch adds up to 360, which is the degrees of a full circle. Ignore the number 90 at the top of each circle, and count 15 for every little notch.

So full solution:
1. Turn the center dial until the red arrow points to the red 15. Then take note of the numbers to which the green arrows point.
2. Corner Dial I: Turn counter-clockwise 75 degrees (5 notches).
3. Corner Dial II: Turn clockwise 45 degrees (3 notches)
4. Corner Dial III: Turn counter-clockwise 30 degrees (2 notches)
5. Corner Dial IV: Turn clockwise 30 degrees (2 notches)

Hope that helps anyone else who is having trouble!

Thanks for that tip. What a pain with the hyper slow dials.

Anywho i had the same sloooooow problem in library with the machine. The lever took a minute or two to slide, but if i pressed Shift-tab (to steam overlay) it moved with normal speed.
Possibly the same will work with the dials but cant see it an improvement :lunar2019laughingpig:

Stuck at the Safe as well, has anyone got a solution? I've noticed that there is no Reset Icon, tho looking at various screenshots and walkthroughs it appears present on those. I've tried from an earlier save and it's still the same, This could be a Gamebreaker.

Any help appreciated.

just found that a reset is not needed... just turn everything back to start/0.. and begin from there. and then note what @skullsandlace said about every tiny dot is 15..this saved me!

another detail i misunderstood:
I thought that the anti-clockwise ones had to go all the way around, but the angle should just be on the other side of 0..

Why every notch count 15 and not 5? There is cleary a 90 in there lol

this worked
Central dial - The central dial has red and blue colored numbers.
Based on the Curator's paper, move the central dial's red arrow to red 15.
This action points the green arrows to: blue 75, red 45, blue 30 and red 30.
Corner dials - (Pull back resets the puzzle).
See that the safe has 4 dials at each corner and has 0 and 90 marks.
The 0 and 90 marks show the degree of the angle of the dial's markings. Each of the lines is a 15 degree mark.
The paper showed that red is to be clockwise and the blue is to be counterclockwise.
I - Right click to turn the dial counterclockwise to 75 (5th line above zero).
II - Left click to turn the dial clockwise to 45 (3rd line below zero).
III - Right click to turn the dial counterclockwise to 30 (second line above zero).
IV - Left click to turn the dial clockwise to 30 (second line below zero)

Thank you! I would never have realized every notch counted as 15. Or perhaps I would have, considering they're circles, and circlws are always 360 degrees. 120 * 3 = 360, and there were three notches for every "15"...
