Not sure how you arrived to this idea.
All cards are always keeping their stat changes. It's not even related to Endless, all other means of returning creatures back to play always keep stats.
What's NOT kept are buffs and debuffs, so if your creature gets its bonus stats from e.g. Rage, it's not going to be kept.

Its the one card with inconsistent logic. Technically you are reducing its stat health (heart) to zero, however, endless does not change or recover stat health (it does recover damage health).

To make endless work on this card, endless effectively adds +1 stat health in order for it to be playable again. Its the only case in which endless adds to a stat. Which is confusing. For consistency's sake, this card should no longer be 'endless' once the health stat drops to zero (at least in my opinion).

It's not inconsistent though. You can kill an endless unit, like an imp, with Razorsharp Edge with it's minus 2 hp and it'll do the same thing. The game just doesn't allow any unit to have zero max hp so it resets the value to 1.

If you want inconsistent, play adaptive mutation on a hollow and if anyone can explain to me why they come back w/ 1 hp from then on out, there is the real inconsistent interaction I've never been able to explain.
