Odd, they're probably one of my most consistent combos outside of stygian (main) combos for cov 25.
there reasons i find Hellhorned main with Awoken Allies consistent.
-your starter deck only needs sharpen for your Wrathful horned breaker to basically solo tank the whole run.
-you only need DPS units behind your champion tank and maybe some units to cleen up on the level above. (perhaps offtank or daze artifact for top floor).
-there are many units within the 2 clans to create win conditions, Large stone/Major refraction + animus of will, multi-strike demons, adaptive mutation hollows, channel song/volatile/sketch consumer of crowns. etc etc
-both ascend and decend spells let you ignore capacity
-regen, armor and spikes have crazy synergys
Then i started doing Cov 1 matches to master all cards and now i see them all the time.
yeah RNG is RNG, but on average it only takes a few tries to get spikes.
I abandon runs that have crappy starter cards, they don't have to be perfect but you don't want more dead cards to get rid of on cov 25.
