Attack order?

One thing I felt wasn't clear enough. What determines the attack order? Obviously assuming none of the units is Quick.

All enemies attack from front to back then all your units attack from front to back.

And if we include the quick keyword:
- Quick enemies.
- Quick friendly.
- Non-quick enemies.
- Non-quick friendly.
Each time"front to back".

I just find it kind of hilarious, that in Magic Terms, we are playing as if there are no interrupts and our player skips his own attack phase and second main phase. This gives the game a Tower Defense / Hero Defense sort of feel.
