Game stuck! Does not resume
I exit the game and when I go back, click Single Player there are options to Resume the game and Start a new one. I click the resume and there is a sound feedback but NOTHING HAPPENS! The Start new game button does not work either.
So, I had to Clear All Save Game Data, and it STILL did not work. Had to look at run history (not know if needed), which showed no runs. Then exit the game. Re-enter and it auto-started the tutorial game again.
This is a big problem... Never an issue in the Demo or Beta, so please look into.

Hey all, I had this bug... I fixed it by restarting steam and it seemed to work, or after the 4th restart.. Not confirmed on 4th restart... but I had the same issue where an old run was active where I lost, and couldn't resume or select anything.. tried rebooting 3 times with the same problem, after steam restart it seemed to clear that active run that was failed. Was that the case with you all ? Is there an active run that you lost on that seemed like it could be resumed?

Oh ty for solution, it's worked just restart steam and start new run also achievements are worked :cozyspaceengineersc:

No, your solution doesn't work for me, but thanks! I lost the first run on purpose (tutorial ?) and now I can't do anything anymore, no Singleplayer, no Multiplayer. Really fun menu, though... :D

Hey - this is a critical issue for us to fix (obviously).

If you don't mind doing one or both of the following: if you can get in game use 'f8' to send feedback to us, this will also send other info.

Join our discord server and send me a private message with the zipped contents of \AppData\LocalLow\Shiny Shoe\MonsterTrain - that will give your save file and logs that should have more info.

We'll do our best to get some kind of resolution out to you guys tomorrow.

I was able to do the F8 thing. I did note that the game locks up during (in one case) and right after submitting the F8 data. IT does come back after 30 seconds or so, but thought I would mention this.

I tried restarting steam by exiting and restart with no luck. Other info was that I was a beta tester and had that installed. I also had and apparently stil have the Monster Train demo (couldnt quite wait for the release a week ago. :) in my steamapps folder.

I've noticed that achievements don't seem to work, either. I deleted all my saves and was able to play until I returned to the main menu. Now, it's stuck again. Run History also doesn't work.
This is really frustrating.

I tried uninstalling, removing Monster Train demo from my steamapps folder, then deleting the entire contents of C:\Users\me\AppData\LocalLow\Shiny Shoe\MonsterTrain.

When I reinstalled and started, the contents magically returned to that directory above.
In particular the beta-save directory which seems to be saved on a server somewhere? I think that might be the problem. Every time I delete this and restart the game, it respawns.
When I looked at a log file, there seemed to be some website that it was using to apparently download savegame contents?

Since I uninstalled/reinstalled, that has got to be what it is picking up and thinking I have a game to resume and causing issues. Unless there is some other save game location?

I read the bug thread and there is a guide on how to delete your cloud save whihc I think will help. Unfortunately I am not smart enough to figure it out. Maybe one of you other people can figure out how to disconnect the internet and then play the game and log into steam, do some other crap, THEN reconnect...

Nah, sorry, I can't get that to work. You can do all of those things, but--as I mentioned in the other thread--that only works if there actually is a folder 1102190, which there is not. It's the devs turn now, since I'm out of my depth here.
