What is War Mongrels?

War Mongrels is an isometric real-time tactics game that takes place on the eastern front of World War II. Dynamic and tactical gameplay with stealth elements, tightly packed into a dark, fascinating story! Play on your own or in online co-op.

My game does not start / crashes / has technical issues, what should I do?

Please check this thread for more information on known issues and their status. If you do not see your issue there, feel free to reply in that thread.

How long is the game?

The game has 12 chapters that take around 30 hours to complete once. That does not include the challenge mode, which allows you to unlock more extra content - posters, letters, fliers, articles all from the era which the game represents. And of course you may replay the same mission several times in multiplayer :)

Can´t join Multiplayer games, but I am able to host them

Please check this. You're interested in the "Steam Client" section. You may also wish to check this.

Does multiplayer have versus mode or only co-op?

Only Coop.

Will there be controller support?

Yes, we will include controller support in the future. It's a solid info, we plan to release on consoles as well.

Can I play the campaign with a friend or are there separate maps?

Yes, you can play the entire campaign with your friend and finish it together.

Does the game feature cross-play?

Yes, you can play with people from all the storefronts on which the game is available. We plan on adding consoles to that family too, once we release them.

Where are saved games located?

Use 'Browse Local Files' option from Steam. Then navigate to:
"\steamapps\common\War Mongrels\WM\Savegames\"

Can I complete challenges over multiple runs of a mission or does it have to be in a single one?

You can do the exact thing. E.g. first run for time, second for other objectives, and so on ;)

I would like to play this game on my iPad, but the App Store states my device is not compatible with the game. Is this an error?

The compatibility list on the App Store states that the game requires iOS 16.0 or later. I have a 7th generation iPad with 17.2 OS, which should be able to run the game easily, right?

Any constructive comments appreciated, thanks.
