Well, i thought about that but if is a paid dlc, buy the licence. You don't need to make a patch in winter for the db and also some clubs don't even exists anymore, so no need to pay them the licence... I really love to play old data with the actual features. It would be great business for the company and more enjoyable content for the game if Sports Interactive add this option.
Its the same reason why devs such as Rockstar etc wont remake older GTA games due to the licensing on voice actors, songs etc.
It would be a great addition but virtually impossible financially.
Yea but they are incomplete and it is imposible to simulate some events like Madrid galacticos or Abramovich take-over of Chelsea or other team if non-historical is selected (might be a fun option). The rize of some playes after different age like Drogba, Franck Ribéry or Jamie Vardy. The transfer boom after Neymar or triggered by other player if is transfered with that anount of money. Adding new teams like Red Bull or deleting some after financial collapse, or the italian scandal with Juventus relegation. just imagine how many options you can add...
Problem with what you want it that FM is a "what if" scenario game. You start at a set date with a set variables for that date after that everything is "what if" by random numbers.
So to cover all those events you are talking about you would way more then one database. Unless Sports Interactive decides to remake the implementation of databases we are limited to specific start dates even if Sports Interactive them self would make the database.
I would really like if Sports Interactive would let the dates and RULES be something we could mod. But I think the whole license issue are more about dates then actual players used in the game.
Certainly not impossible though. Wasn't there a 70s version of FM or CM released for mobile a few years back? They figured it out, so it is doable.
