Game seems to undervalue players

I started off in the VNL North and have made it to the Championship - What I find strange is that the players seem to be undervalued and underrated - 2 examples - I have a left winger who is rated by the game as a VNL player and in League 1 he got me 16 goals and averaged over 7 for the season - Another example is my deep lying midfielder - again - rated as a VNL player but won player of the season in League 1 and averaged 7.5 - It just seems to me that it is pointless to take any notice as to how the game values the players instead you have to make your own mind up as to how good they are

So how much would you value your player of the season who is now in the championship?

I dont know how much he is worth in terms of finances - the one thing I do know is that the game undervalues the players in terms of the standard of the League they play in - for example if it rates a player as Vanarama National League - it means that the player is really League 2 Standard , and in turn if it rates a player as League 2 he is really League 1 - I am now about to start my 8th season as" create a club" in the Championship and the game doesnt rate any of my players as Championship standard but it hasnt stopped me getting 4 promotions with supposedly inferior players

Its not the game that rates your players, it is a meant to reflect a coaches opinion which is usually not to be taken seriously going by previous editions. Anyhoo, no point complaining as this is not being updated any longer nor do the devs look this far back to see what they can improve. Problem is if you by the current addition and you still see this as a flaw. Tbh your player whoever it maybe is currently not in demand and only over achieving players will get any interest so a bidding war may start. Tbf there aren't a great deal of players plucked by the prem league from your position. That's where the money is so all you have to do is work on your real assets i.e. your backroom staff. Get them rocking and your quality of player will rise then the prem will come sniffing with the £££s.
