Why is this game so popular?

How do you enjoy this game?

If, like me, you've been playing football manager/championship manager since the very first edition way back in the early nineties, it's not a matter of enjoying as much as being a numbers addict i guess, also we're used to being thrown into a pool of menus and numbers and schedules. The latest versions of the full game are maybe not as accessible to new players as perhaps needed, but that's why there's a 'light' version of the game available that's less immersive and lets you focus more on playing matches. I'd give that a spin if i were you. It's called FM Touch fyi...

This game has a real hardcore following, Compared to the present day version we played FM lite. We all grew up with it as it developed so did we. I play this game because I just enjoy managing. Winning is not important to me that is why I work as far down the leagues as I can. I love being up to my neck in ♥♥♥♥ and being told I am rubbish then proving the haters wrong.

Maybe another plus point is this does not require the best tech, the fastest mouse, the best internet connection & a see thru walls hack.

If you see post on facebook and reddit etc you will see that theres more and more players who play casually now. They ask how to DL the game on steam etc so the game gains more new players.

I have played FM and CM since it first came. And have about 300 hours in FM20, I have 3000 in FM15 to compare. Unfortenly in my opinion the game is in decline. I would give FM20 a 2 out of 6. Compared to earlier editions its bad, alot of my friends that has played for years stopped with last year or this edition. I would wait for FM21.

In some discussion you are downloading tactics from the workshop, in other threads you dont like winning, and love being up to your neck in ♥♥♥♥. I think the ♥♥♥♥ are above your neck mate :)

Damn! I love negative comments especially from people who aren't even on my radar. I want to see the quote were I download a tactic. To my knowledge and so that you can quote me elsewhere is that I do not use downloaded tactics as they never totally fit my current situation. FYI You seem to be combining my posts with others now which puts you firmly on my idiot radar.

Id also add mate that who gives a damn if you even had downloaded a tactic? Its a fearure of the game downloading tactics etc. Just because someone downloads a tactic doesnt mean they only do it too win. Its about playing different formations and having fun and trying new things. The dude that said that can suck a fat one, attacking you for no reason, people like him are a just barstewards

You should know the whole story. He was making an argument about me being ♥♥♥♥ because I was playing a downloaded tactic, and said he is such a hardcore LLM manager that never use the editior or workshop. Then he is now saying he is downloading tactics

It's fun because you can do what ever you like. buy/sell and especially setting up your own tactics and players matching to it.
