Can not score!!!

Thank you to break this game back again!! Can not score with any tactics, terrible stats for the Strikers, 30 shots 15 on goal and max 1 goal for each game! WHY FM WHY???? WHY YOU BREAK THIS GAME AGAIN!!! SHOULD WE PLAY WITH L'POOL OR BARCA OR PSG???

Try tweaking your tactics. I struggled for goals early but conceded at less than a goal a game to balance it out, but after slight tweaks here and there I've started scoring at a decent rate.

i tried so many different tactics after 20.4 update. but nothing changed :/

I have no problems scoring. Things I notice, my team will slow down or struggle to score goals early on after transfer windows and my team no longer has partnerships. They will also struggle if there is someone unhappy. That's the biggest problem with the game in my opinion, happiness is a BIG deal with the game. If you have someone who is unhappy, they whole team suffers. Look over your team, find who is unhappy. Ask your captain to tell you about the locker room, he will tell you who is effecting the team. I then try to meet his demands, if I can't, I always transfer the guy out. It works almost every time.

So improve your teams happiness, get rid of someone who is unhappy and you can't make him happy and then also, wait until your team starts forming partnerships, when that happens, you will see scoring go up.

It will be your tactics, a good measure of a successful tactic is how many clear cut chances (CCC) you get and how many Half chances (HC) you get.

If your shooting a lot and not scoring that suggests they are mainly from long range. Couple of things that help with that is

Work ball in to box and pace in to space.

I usually use overlap left and right to.

One thing I would suggest is you read your scout report. If the team play cautiously surprisingly enough playing cautiously can be the beat option, balanced and positive do work but you can be caught on the counter attack depending on how the other team plays (all this is in your scout report)

Also ready you analyst report, focus on the passing network, if you can work out who to close down using opposition instructions you will win the ball backmin more threatening positions.

Everything is possible. And the ME does not consider what team is human controlled. If a AI team manages to make goals, so can you.

My best striker, with good odds of being the division top goal scorer did not score a single goal in 16 matches in a row. But sometimes he has 4 hatrick's in a month.
One time the only person on the pitch with a 6.1 rating managed to score the winning goal.
-15 of my 25 players squad has scored goals so far and im only half way through the season. Even my right wing-back with a red circle position familiarity (1.5 star no-nonsense full back) managed to score a few goals.

Sometimes the opponent scores a goal 2 minutes over added time, But I have managed to have my team also score 30 seconds over added time a few times. (example score on 96 min when there is only 4 minutes added time)

15 shots on target isn't the most unusual thing in football, it's just how it works, not every shot on target is a goal

He is obviously talking about when the opponent team wins a match while having a lot fewer shots than his team. Example when you loose 1-2 despite having 35-3 shots on goal. And the fact that the opponent team can score 1 goal in 1-2 shots proves that his statement is wrong. As I said the ME does not consider what team is player controlled.

It does seem to be the case that sometimes your team cannot score and yet you have all the possession and many goal shots on target. I think there is something behind the scenes, like perhaps team happiness, that affects this a lot. I have won several games that I expected to lose when my team was relatively untrained together, then got into a streak now where I can not score to save my life and my team is well versed in the tactic I am using. It is strange indeed.

i dont have a problem with team happenes. its weird. maybe you guys remember the fisrt version of FM20. it was so hard to find a goal when your players had a chance 1on1 againts the goalkeeper. we can not find a score when our player have that chance. with the last update when you are a manager of underdog teams, you can not find a score like the first version. im talking about that. (sorry about my English)
