Can we make Transfers a little more fair please?
So how come, no-matter who I try to buy the other team will always bump price up to something ridiculous like 40-50 million above their value.

Yet when they put in an offer for one of my players (Lets say Paul Pogba, who is playing with an avg rating of 8.60 has two years left on his contract and is worth 89 million) teams like Barca/Real offer 60-70 Million and won't even negotiate with offers?

Two years on the contract wouldn't be helping the situation.
That being said, big teams ALWAYS try to low-ball smaller teams.

in my current game its the otherway around, small teams with talents asking insane prices,w oh you want 50mill for this guy that are worth 14k, sure....... with luck i can however upset the players not being allowed to join when i come with a reasonable bid.
also 2 years isnt long, the less from 5 year deal the less money you are getting offered, that is why it can be a good thing to not wait 3 years with renewing.

That's just the team's way of saying he's not for sale.

Not always true, I got a 186m bid from PSG for Pogba..

No the fees are broken, both ways. I got Mbappe for £117m with 3 years on his contract left and he took a pay cut to come. Also had bids rejected even though they meet the asking price other teams have asked such as Sancho cost me £94m even though the team he was playing at had set a price of £78m, they refused my bids of that value and demanded £94m. Not even close to realistic with the transfers and hasn't ever been. I got Moriba for 250k in my third season despite Barca refusing his sale or to even loan him for the two seasons previous.

But hey Hunter will do what hunter does and speak from a miss informed position based on information provided by people he has never met irl and never uses his own experience or evidence. 'It's just' no it isn't lol no league 2 team in the UK would even ask for more than say £25m for the greatest player they have ever seen in the academy, yet on FM they may ask for £50m+ and refuse everything, even offers that would make the selling club a power house in their own league. Give me one example of a second division player moving for £50m+ who is under 18 and isn't from south america. Can you Hunter? After all you defend like this ♥♥♥♥ is acceptable.

I think the first offers are always crazy low for my players and most of the suggested offers are crazy low when I am trying to go after a guy. Put you have to negotiate. I can't tell you the amount of times I keep negotiating down. I get the suggested offer, I come in closer to the value of the player, they come back with a new price, a little lower then their 1st, then I make another...you know, like a real negotiation. Very rarely do I buy or sell a player for the initial offer.

I don't think transfers are broken. AI manager will always try to low-ball you, just like I do with them. Conversely, I always want the highest price possible when selling.
I would suggest that some transfer business is strange, lots of big purchases for star players by certain teams and often doesn't seem like the AI teams have a transfer plan.
Also, remember that if you want to purchase a player in instalments or with certain conditions that is not the same as meeting their 'price tag'.
Regarding wonderkids getting snapped up on the cheap a few seasons in. I don't see this being an issue, usually sold on the basis that they have never reached their potential or been given an opportunity, seems fair to me and about right on balance.

This is an old post. Anyway, the trick is to avoid to make an offer so low to be considered an insult, because AI will react by inflating the price. So follow scout advice. Always scout the player before bidding.
