how to see potential finish in competitions?
sometimes i'm presented with a screen which says something like potential finish 1-22 for my league, but I don't know how to find this on my own can anyone tell me?

its not there either, i'm talking not about media predictions, but the mathmatical range on which you can land in a league based on your current position and others poisiton, sometimes the game shows you in your inbox or something i'm just wondering how to independantly view that info

Not sure if that is what you are looking for, but try Competition > Overview > Season Preview. In there you can see the odds of winning for each club.

On your home screen, change one of the panels to “Team Competitions”

I have always done it in the head, but adding or subtracting 3 times the matches remaing from my current score. As a example If I am ahead of relegation by 20 points and have 6 games left, I know I am safe since 3 times 6 is 18.
