This can't be universal, as there's plenty scored all ove the FM communities. BUt to be honest, it's always been (too?) easy on FM to get a lot of shots off that see little chance of conversion. The most overlooked are finishes off the set piece, on average a header under huge pressure inside a jam packed box and similar. Set pieces come about by the defending team getting a foot into the move still. Which would happen even more if they aren#t positioinally stretched. Unless truly openings aren't created with some regularity.... even the best chances realistically should be 50/50 affairs most of the time, like a dice roll (1vs1s 30/30 average, btw). They should be realistically missed too... If the game would ape xG models, more players would see it. Until then... Apparently SI had at least fixed some of the notoriously defensive AI some. Against such defensive AI, shot-wise statistically hugely one-dimensional matches would have been the norm, as they are purely focused on spoiling/making it harder to score.
I have no problem with regulations on chances, but these rules have to work on the AI teams as well and as far I can tell - they absolutely don't!
I had this match a few minutes ago and reloaded it multiple times to see what happens and it has always been the same! AI strikers score about 50% of their chances even from most ridiculous positions and my strikers always aim straight for the goalkeeper. My team never even scored a single goal in 10 matches against the same team.
You don't want to hear this, but since it's blatantly obvious that not everybody has this: Tactical issue, 100%. I agree that it shouldn't be mind. However, the game allows too much garbage on the tactics front that you'd never see on a pitch of football. If this is ever to be a realistic sim, that all needs to go. If you want help go to the SI tactics community. From my end the only reliable source. In particular guys such as Rashidi, Cleon and Herne79 know the game inside out -- including its current flaws. If you just want to take a vent, also fine. Won't fix a thing though.
Seriously, I appreciate your words and your time here, but right now the game is just a huge pain in the ass, because no matter what I try, my team won't score.
EDIT: Complaining here seems to work, because suddenly my team won the next match by 2-0 and played very, very well. My striker even scored in a 1 on 1 situation. I don't get it.
