Basically his "destroyer v3" which he claims is the most efficient tactic there is on football manager would only be enough to win the league 70% OF THE TIME with liverpool and even with he does its by a few points..
With major clubs say Man Utd , Arsenal that probability is less than 40%.
Anything "over your media prediction" is great "success" and "overachievement".
Thats literally what this filth has come down to..So in other words if you are expected say 17th and finish 15 you should be jumping up and down excitement like a hoe elmo.
At high level football (premier league , la liga etc), its still all about the same scripted filth.
I have played FM and all its previous incarnations from day 1 and I can honestly say that I'm done now.
- Headers have been crap for years now and are still no better in this version; defensive headers lead to goals against and since crossing accuracy is terrible, headed goals are rare.
- Every time you enter the area, the attack ends up like a pinball machine with ridiculous ball physics
- Speaking of ridiculous ball physics, how about the fact that on attack my players are far too wooden to actually manage a reverse pass or hip swerve/dribble, but in defence they can clear or tackle with their back to the ball, like some crazed resident evil mutant; the ball then flies upfield as a perfect pass and a counter
- Players with free kick 20 hit the wall every time, corner takers with corner taking 20 hit the first man every time, players with finishing 20 are adept at hitting posts and crossbars and like to mix it up by hitting the corner flag now and again; players with long shots 20 can't even hit the target consistently.
- Players hardly ever get room to cross and when they finally do they dither and never deliver. Most passes are badly executed, ie behind the onrushing player or just not accurate enough, regardless of passing skill
- The concept of defence splitting passes or quick 1-2's is simply non-existent
- On the flip side, my players score about 15 of Son's wondergoals every season; run the whole length of the pitch and score (which is good, because they can't score from 3 inches out).
Every single year I pay good money for what is at best a marginal improvement - what are the devs doing all year ? and are they not playing the game themselves and able to see these glaring issues ?????
I think this was my last FM.
After my 7th season in FM2020, I have finally uninstalled the game.
There isn't much SI can do to save this years version. I actually enjoyed the game LESS on the beta patch and that says something.
I doubt I will be purchasing the next iteration. I might wait 5 or 6 years (if I am still alive) to get back to it, and I will probably only consider it around March...when all the patches are out of the way.
Then you play Hellas Verona at home, go 2-0 up only for them to get two quick fire goals in the last 10 minutes, from absolutely nothing. Happens all too frequently.
The masses have spoken, this years game, sadly, is not up to scratch. It’s a shame as I loved FM19 and have hoped for an enhanced version.
Bought game every year from 09 apart from last year after 18 was so bad I refused to buy 19 hoping the extra year gap would show a change but.....no
I had come to the conclusion that the engine on 20 is about the same as 18 except the 5-2-3 formation was nerfed so there's nothing left.
All we're hearing from SI is : 'We're investigating', and 'Thanks for reporting this'. When asked when they'll fix their broken game the response is : We don't announce patches due to the nature of programming.
It's like they just stopped caring.
