unable to import tactics

so ive used the workshop and downloaded a few tactics, now when i try either import or load these tactics, there no where to be found. i cant even find the tactics folder, ive even tried createing one and saving them in there yet when i come to import them i cant find the tactics folder, any help much appreciated, also im not very good with computers so if i do get any replies please dumb them down for me

So your tactics are usually found on his pathway in ur documents

C:\Users\<urnamehere>\OneDrive\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\tactics

'urnamehere' wont be the same for everyone. Can you get to ur documents folder and tell me if u see anything in it?

so if i do what you just said in game nothing appears, no tactics folder just one that says editor files

if i go to my documents out of game then i can see everything with said tactics

This is outside of the game, I haven't got that far yet :)

So If you can see everything in THAT tactics folder and it looks fine, you need to load the tactic, You can get to the Load tactic window in-game right?

So your looking in the LOCAL tab for a tactics folder, try switching from the LOCAL to the CLOUD tab and tactics should be in there. That's if u got the tactic from steam work shop.

so my exact path is i press load tactic and then at the top it says load with a local/cloud button
then there is 3 folders
editor files
games
skins
thats in game, out of game i dont have that path i can see every folder witch is why im so confused also sorry if im making this a painful process

yes i can see that but theres no tactics in the tactics folder, yes i got them off steam workshop

i got that far it then just says failed to import tactic :)

It sounds like your doing everything right, I just tried DLing a tactic, it hasnt appeared in my tactics folder, Although i noticed that there is a warning that says you may need to restart FM in order for it to DL to steam.

I have the same tactics folder(outside of FM)and sure enuff the tactic is sitting in the folder so i believe i need a restart :)

i have the same issue. and i also can not save local in the folder i can save local on desktop. maybe we can change the download folder for tactic to another folder? i guess something is of with the sports interactive folder

The tactic IIRC needs to be placed in the SI/FM2020/Tactics folder. If you know where your download is placed (there is a search function in Windows Explorer also), you can manually move the file there. Maybe you're lucky. The workshops are full of tactics that encourage the added match with loads of shots and zero goals.

- 9/10 they're ultra attacking. OUtside the CBs, barely a defend duty
- they push everybody up, oft going all narrow
- the AI of this series likes to sit deep and spoil, in particularly if the underdog
- Just shoving numbers forward and make them sit atop each other (2d view) can play completely into their hands, and no manager in actual football would do this in that scenario 24/7 in particular.

If you still download one, look for one that is potent from the set piece too. Added set piece shots will be guaranteed, as defenses so easily get a foot into the actually open play moves. And make yourself familiar with its strengths and weakness. For as long as nobody finds a way to field 20 outfield players, there will be always such.
