My game (on two of my PCs, both Thinkpad) would be stuck at the end of the progress bar upon launch and won't go through. Anyone has similar issue?

I started a game on one difficulty past "normal", I think it was "experienced", on a normal sized map. Got the last empire to their last circle and they counterattacked with an unstopable force. I had a fortified position, my full army, and it got overrun completely. I thought ok, I'l wear them out, take their main...nope, they have a fortress wherever they go and their army size just increases on it's own. They had an army strength over 62k and I gave up. I gonna be honest, its not fun when you start a run and you suddenly see an elven biome right next to you and they start to spam a huge army of bears just because they seem to be somehow cheap and being able to gather stuff as well-

If you have not used the keep, I suggest trying it out! You can build up to three of them in each circle. Then, you will want to put units inside. Ranged units will automatically fire at any units which attack that circle and even help defend adjacent circles, if they have enough range. Archers and elf archers work best. You can put up to 8 archers or 4 elf archers inside each tower. Also, the towers automatically gain xp and level up. As this happens and you do the upgrades, they continue to gain hit ♥♥...
