It's just plain boring, your good ol' crafting survival game with not much else. Doesn't feel challenging or rewarding. The world is not that unique, same models in every building. Repetitive fetch quest for the same loot. Honestly not worth the money. Though it would be a good spin on the formula but nah. Also having to create an account just to play solo??

This game made me want to play Fallout 4 again.

+ The gunplay is good, especially against the smaller enemies. It feels good to fire at packs of the dog enemies, or shoot the gun out of the walking enemies' hands.
+ The sound is good. The noise that enemies make when they blow up is just...perfect.
+ Character customizations are good and weapon customizations are okay. There's not a whole lot of variety in attachments, but the ones that are there fill a good number of necessities.
+ The graphics are good. The NPC models can look...not great, but the rest of it is pretty consistent.

- I noticed pretty quickly that the game uses up 100% of my CPU and GPU. I could set the game from ultra quality to low quality and it would run just fine either way, but both CPU and GPU usage were maxed out. Fiddling with the in-game settings didn't fix this, and I had to go into the Nvidia control panel and manually lock the FPS to get it to stop. Apparently this is a long running issue, and the dev's response is "it doesn't happen for us".
- Scaling is pretty bad, especially with larger enemies. As you get farther into the game, enemies do more damage, to the point where some can take more than half your health in a single hit, and there isn't any armor or anything to prevent this (besides one or two skills and one or two clothing items which give 1-3% defense boosts).
- Adding to the above, later enemies, especially the larger ones, take much more damage, to the point where I had to use around 15 rockets and hundreds of rounds of ammo to take one down. In order to balance this, the enemies become much less mobile, and combat becomes a back-and-forth of "wait for the enemy to fire, peek and fire off a few rounds, go back into hiding, repeat", which isn't fun.
- Base building isn't fun. There are only a handful of structures to build, and a good number of them require some rare materials. Also, every structure has health, and when a structure runs out of health it disappears. The first time I built a base, a giant enemy came over and blew up a whole side of the perimeter wall. It did not feel good having to put that back up.
- Storage weight is capped annoyingly low, both for the player and for base storage. This makes for an annoying balance between having enough room in inventory for loot and carrying heavier ordinance for fighting larger enemies. I think this balances out in multiplayer, but in single player it is frequently an issue.
- There are a few physics/engine issues. It's not uncommon for the interaction boxes of objects to stop working, especially for vehicles. Crashing can cause the player to teleport into the air and fall to their death. Stuff like that.

All in all, it's not a BAD game, but not a good one either. it looks like there's still work being done on it, but mostly for DLC. I'll still keep an eye on it to see if things get better, but for now I'll just play Fallout 4.

Nice and challenging FPS single-player game. Shooting a bunch of robots seems almost relaxing. There's enough challenge and need to develop tactics due to how many shots each bot takes, but it's not daunting, but mistakes can still take you down. Fun and enjoyable.
