XP Tips
Full disclosure, I've had this game for years, but my PC at the time I first purchased couldn't reliably run it. As a result I kinda gave up on levelling the multiplayer classes and altogether dropped the game after barely finishing the main story through all the crashing. Years later, new (not anymore lol) rig, and I'm kinda looking to get back into it. Anybody got some tips to help grind xp faster so I can catch up on what I've been missing?

there are many Glitches, Methods to achieving Max level. however if you have the stomach for it...

are you planning on 100%ing Gears 5?

Multiplayer classes at max level get you the Shiny Venom Skin, there are Alternate type of Shiny Skins. that you can obtain.

Escape - has the Best Exp (Master Difficulty) - hands down my favorite. will require Tankyness and knowing the map.
Horde - Has Near Best Exp (if you play only on Master), all Kill/Assist based to gain exp. As well as Waves Survived - Can get Glitchy.

Versus - Only gives Re-Up Level Exp. (Dont bother too much with this, it will come naturally)
I will tell you a few Tricks up my Sleeve Unless you are Dead Certain you can wish to put yourself through the grindsz....

Before the Epic Updates, it was Brutal.... however Horde Tricks are easy.

Seriously 2.0 - Chapter 1 - 2.

-Mastering Each Map (technically you just gotta complete wave 50) you will need Jack level at least.... and Hijack your way to Victory. or Jack + Brawler for a Friend.
Than Completing them all On Beginner 1 - 50 waves. (for the Check marks)

-Escape the same way but they ALL need to be Mastered - Super Skill Related action. will require skill, or some escapes have Layout 1/2/3 (yes seperate versions)

-Campaign Playthrough 1 - All Collectibles. Beginner is fine
-Campaign Playthrough 2 - With all Collectibles, Utilize the New Game+ Menu, with inconceivable..... Trust me its tough enough already.... Did this Solo than carried a Friend through it....
-Campaign Playthrough 3 - New Game+, Ironed Out... yea you WILL NEED IT! Experienced Difficulty, one of the absolute worst achievements out there. Ive lost many Good Files, accidental Left in Public and you get 1 Stupid player act 2, NPC accidental Deaths act 1 2 3 4 lol No Jokes.... its hell..... and

HiveBuster Campaign (can be done in 1 run) +all Collectibles.... it will require knowledge of the whole layout, to give you an absolute advantage... otherwise Collect and Do everything on beginner than Do Insane last.... Did alot of Carrys for people because i enjoyed this campaign more so than others...

Versus - Retro lancer [RELIC] Only, Capture the Flag. Spawn protection 0, 5 second respawn. if you master this, you can get 100k Kills/50k assists easy. (give or take another 50-100hours of your existance)

Multiplayer Class Exp - Horde Style? Since you get a "Free Booster" everyday...

Utilziing the Daily - with the right Class - With the Right Holiday Mode, you can Easily get Tons of EXP. Not as Fast as the Escape runs.

Escape Runs - The Clock Primarily for Class Exp, [Specific Layout] - Juvies & Rejects..
when you make it to the Door and close it ON MASTER DIFFICULTY [Immediately] -> [Pause Game] -> [Restart Act] the game will recongize it as a Escape completion... Rinse repeat like 30-40times. [Restart Act] till your back to the start [Return to Lobby]... its a Quirky Trick...
Level 20ing each character will take 2hours each. at the fastest.. can Look up the Run on youtube.

The Rest are Miscallenous Achievements, which require 5 people for certain quests and/or PvP

Or an Old Trick to get Re-Up Exp, like 2000-3000exp, Lethal Engagement on Master
execute the Enemy. [Pause] -> [Restart Act] -> [Pause] wait till Screen is black -> [Return to lobby] you will understand how the trick works.
Appreciate the in-depth answer. I guess I should have clarified I was just looking for multiplayer XP to unlock and try all the cards (stats, buffs, whatever they're called). Being brutally honest I'm pretty casual as far as achievements and whatnot go. Either the game is fun, or it isn't worth playing. No amount of digital "pat on the back points" has ever mattered to me.

I'll probably try doing escape like you suggested, just without the glitch. Seems like a solid way to get used to the different classes again while leveling.

Fair enough. I'm enjoying pretty much all the maps so far and I'll look at surge again later. As far as getting friends to play with mine are all bored to death of G5 so I'll probably just use matchmaking and/or join open customs that don't have specific demands to join in the title like "do this strat in this spot or kick REEEE".

Thanks again for all the info mate. May your executions be awesome and your reloads always perfect!
